about

There are some bonus items if you download this album.

This started out as a concept album about fencing with African-style guitar licks and a samba feel to the drums. It turned into a concept album about T.V. talent shows. I'm hoping to tour it in November in the South of England at the very least but hopefully more. Please send me an email if you'd like to hear this live or if you just have some questions.

Thanks to my mum, Beverley Insull who drew and painted the artwork for the cover and to Ross McIntyre who photographed the art and transformed it into a cover.

about

George Insull Norwich, UK

First attempts at making music involved copying melodies from pop songs on a keyboard given to me and my sister by our aunt and uncle. Moved onto a 1/4 sized classical guitar aged 8 and had lessons for about 7 years. Currently trying to figure out how to play these songs live and in the planning stage for a short film to accompany my latest EP 'It Beggars Resistance'. ... more

Track Name: Am I On Your Mind
Am I on the box
Am I on the set
Am I in the cloud
Am I in your head
Am I on your mind

Would you write a blog
Would you send a tweet
I've got this new song
It's gonna be big
Am I on your mind

Wake me up or fall asleep
Is this a dream or am I dead

It took me all day
It took me all week
I came here tonight
I came here to speak
Am I on your mind

Wake me up or fall asleep
Is this a dream or am I dead

I wanted to say
It's never too late
But that would be wrong
We all make mistakes
Am I on your mind

Wake me up or fall asleep
Is this a dream or am I dead
Track Name: Sorry, Lad
Good evening
I want to pay my way
I write songs
I've got something to say
I thought that
This show wasn't for me
But how could I judge without trying

Tell me
What have you got for us today
Ok
In your own time go ahead
You're too young
You've got nothing to say
Sorry, lad
Your heart's in the right place

Alright then
I'll give it all up
It's no use
I wasted all this time
Too bad
I knew it all along
Stupid
How could I be so wrong
Track Name: Sloppy Feet
Breathe
Open your eyes
And feel your weight
On solid ground
You came here for
The same as me
I hope you don't
Have sloppy feet

So unlike
You wanting
To be alright
Is one thing
